I would like to thank my beta testers a lot. They have done a great
job in finding serious bugs and giving me valuable suggestions for
the improvement of TextViewer.

Thank you,

Things that are new
-------------------

Version 1.36

No new features, only bugfixes. Configuration of info line works
correctly at program start. If you only scroll forward the archive no
longer is decompressed from the beginning from time to time. This
results again in better performance. Both bugs were firstly reported
by Kostik, thank you.

Version 1.35

No new features, only a bugfix. Uncompressed files inside an archive
are handled OK again.

Version 1.34

Decompression of texts is faster. Texts are loaded in a way that
the last page visited is always hold in memory (during up/down
scrolling). Waste of free space at end of page is stopped. Some bugs
regarding "Configure Fonts" have been fixed.

Version 1.20

has a somewhat new font concept. Fonts are always loaded
out of an archive. There is one special archive "BUILT-IN FONTS"
containing the Alpha-Fonts. You can now customise any font, but all
fonts must be contained in the same archive. So when you start to
install new fonts after changing the source from "BUILT-IN FONTS" to
some external file all but one font will vanish. You can then install
more fonts from the same external file. You can change back to
"BUILT-IN FONTS", but you can not have some fonts from the built in
archive and some from another archive. Whenever you change the archive
from which you want to load the fonts all but one font will
vanish. Use "Clean Up SHARED" to delete the "FontConfig0120" entry to
fall back to the default font setup.

You need to do this configuration only once to make your prefered
fonts available.

With "File/Select Font" you can choose which font to use for text display.

As fonts are now always loaded from an archive changing the font may
become "time expensive" because the text must be loaded (and
decompressed from the beginning) afterwards.

Bookmarks are implemented in a weird way. You make a screen copy and
save that. The pixels at the bottom contain the page information,
don't draw there. Above the line at the bottom you can do what you
want, underline words, erase the text, write some annotations and so
on. To jump back to a bookmark start the screen copy function and
select the desired bookmark from the list of pictures. Open the
picture and then leave screen copy.

Font rendering changed in using a different value for the vertical
spacing from the font header. You can define extra line spacing to make
a font more readable.

Areas for page vs. line scrolling have been exchanged. I was told that
most text readers use the outer regions to scroll per page and the
inner regions to scroll per line. You can configure the size of these
regions. In the middle of the screen there is a fixed "blind area"
where nothing happens if you touch it there.

The info line at the bottom is somewhat configurable. You can choose
to display a progress bar or date and time information or just hide
the info line.

Navigation in texts is possible (to some extend at least) by entering
a destination percent value ("Jump to ...") or by tapping on the
progress bar part of the info line. Both methods are somewhat vague
because for large texts each percent value belongs to many text
positions. The last five jump destinations are remembered for quick
jumps back and forward (just like in an Internet browser).

Light stays on permanently even if you have not patched your PVOS.

BEWARE: permanent light may damage the background light of your
PV. Please use the light with care.

Have fun!
